Udupi, Jul 20: A shocking incident has unfolded in Belapu village, Kapu taluk, where a 22-year-old married woman named Sowjanya has gone missing. The young woman was last seen heading to work at a garment shop before her mysterious disappearance.

Sowjanya, a resident of Ambedkar Road in Belapu, had been married to Sujith, a native of Mangaluru, for approximately a year and a half. After their marriage, she resided at her husband’s place for a month but later moved to her mother’s house in Belapu.

Concerns arose when Sowjanya failed to return home after leaving for her workplace at the garment shop. Distraught family members initiated a search in the surrounding areas and reached out to relatives for any information about her whereabouts. Unfortunately, all efforts to locate her have been in vain thus far.

In light of the distressing situation, Sowjanya’s mother, Manjula, lodged a complaint at the Shirva police station, prompting them to register a case to investigate her sudden disappearance, authorities are now actively engaged in efforts to locate the missing woman and uncover the circumstances surrounding her vanishing.
