Udupi: An unidentified man’s dead body was found on the railway tracks near Indrali Railway Station in the morning hours of September 4.
The deceased person may be around 65 years old with white long hair and white beard, wearing half shirt and trouser.
The reason of the death is not known, but it is believed that while walking on the track at around 7.20 am, Ernakulam to Ajmir route train might have run over him.
A case has been registered at Manipal Police Station and investigation is underway.
Social worker Nithyanand Olakadu and Shiroor Taranath helped the policemen with the post mortem at Manipal.
