Udupi: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for Udupi district, predicting wind speeds of 30-40 kmph on August 3rd and 4th. The public is advised to avoid sea, riverine areas, streams, and creeks during this period.
Additionally, people are urged not to seek shelter near hazardous structures, trees, or pillars, and people are advised to be careful in this situation. As per the latest forecast, squally winds are expected to affect numerous places in Udupi. Considering the weather conditions, authorities have imposed a ban on venturing into water bodies and urged residents to prioritize safety.
Udupi’s Deputy Commissioner has emphasized the importance of taking precautions and staying away from risky areas. Residents are reminded to stay vigilant and avoid seeking shelter under unsafe buildings, trees, or pillars during the period, as the winds are anticipated to be strong.
