Udupi: With the Bunt community coming together to stand in support of grieving Bhasker Shetty’s family and thereby condemning Udupi-based advocate Mattaru Rathnakar Hegde for taking up the case on behalf of Rajeshwari Shetty and Navaneeth Shetty, Udupi District BJP President and renowned advocate Mattaru Rathnakar Hegde has said that he is yet to take a decision on the matter.
Addressing a news conference on Wednesday Hegde, who was in the BJP office refused to answer the question pertaining to the sensational murder case on the grounds that he was in the party office from where he did not want to talk of the case.
Stating that lawyers have to follow their ethics and that an advocate who files bail plea need not necessarily be the advocate fighting the case, Hegde said that before going missing Shetty had tried to meet him, but the two could not meet because Hegde was busy.
