Udupi: A youth committed suicide by consuming poison here at a lodge in Udupi on Monday night.
The deceased is identified as Sathyajith (28) resident of Kukkikatte Bhagyamandira in Badagubettu village. He was running a salon business and is said to have been missing since yesterday.
Sathyajith who booked a room in a tourist lodge in Udupi consumed poison last night, it is said. Today morning, when the staff went into his room, they found his body. The reason for the extreme step is not yet known. A case has been registered at the Udupi city police station in this regard.
