Hubballi: Depending on the Covid situation in the State, the decision on Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations will be taken, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to media persons here at the airport on Wednesday September 1, he said that as the Covid situation in neighbouring state, Kerala is grim with increasing Covid cases, the State Government issued appropriate guidelines for Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations which has been met with massive opposition. And therefore, a decision will be taken on Sunday September 5 based on the day’s situation, he informed.
Bommai asserted that the Government will not allow any sort of anti-national activities in the State. National Investigation Agencies are already alert and keeping tab on suspicious activities, he added.
CM will be on a two-day visit to his Constituency Shiggaon and Haveri District, where he will initiate several development plans.
