In a joint crackdown, Bendigeri Police and the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested three individuals near Gabbar Kundagol Cross for allegedly trafficking ganja. The operation led to the seizure of 10.5 kilograms of the banned substance, with an estimated street value of ₹12.64 lakh.

The accused have been identified as:

  • Mohammad Shahid Eligaar (23)

  • Rehman Beg Savanoor (26)

  • Nisar Ahmad Nayaknavar (44)
    All three are residents of Haveri district.

  • Police also seized:

    • Three mobile phones

  • One car

  • One auto-rickshaw
    These vehicles were reportedly used for the transport and sale of ganja.

  • Following their arrest, the accused were produced before a local court, and further investigation is ongoing to trace the source and wider network of the drug trade.
