Karnatak University, Dharwad Students Await Marks Cards Under NEP

Doc (1)

Undergraduate students at Karnatak University, Dharwad (KUD) are facing obstacles as they await their original marks cards under the National Education Policy (NEP) implementation. Despite completing two years and five semesters, final-year students have yet to receive their marks cards due to technical issues.

Karnatak University, Dharwad, was the pioneer in the state to adopt the Unified University College Management System (UUCMS), an initiative aimed at maintaining student data digitally across all departments under the NEP. However, the university has encountered delays in issuing marks cards to students.

Students expressed their concerns, citing difficulties in accessing hostel facilities and other amenities without their marks cards. They urged the university to expedite the distribution of marks cards for all semesters.

Prof. Nijalingappa Y Mattihal, Registrar (Evaluation) of KUD, assured students that the marks cards have been prepared as per the NEP guidelines, and orders have been issued for printing and distribution.

KUD Vice-Chancellor KB Gudasi acknowledged the technical challenges faced with the UUCMS portal but assured that the issues have been resolved. He attributed the delay in the printing process to the Lok Sabha elections and assured students that the printing of marks cards would commence soon.
