Dharwad: Union Minister and BJP candidate from Dharwad Lok Sabha Constituency Pralhad Joshi has created a record by winning for the fifth straight time from Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday.
Joshi, who was seeking a fifth term as an MP from this seat, was contesting against the Congress’’s Vinod Asooti. Joshi has defeated Vinod by over 85,000 votes, which is his lowest margin of victory so far.
Bidar: Khandre’s Son Emerges As Giant Killer
Sagar Khandre, son of Minister Ishwar Khandre, entered the parliament by defeating two-time Bhagwant Khuba from the Bidar Lok Sabha seat.
According to local sources, Khandre defeated Khuba by 1.25 lakh votes. Interestingly, there was stiff resistance from BJP quarters that Khuba should not be fielded from this seat once again, but the BJP leadership did not listen to the local leaders and gave ticket to Khuba once again. Khuba’s dream of securing a hat-trick victory was marred by the Khandre, who emerged as a giant killer.
