Two people in the Bandipur forest area, which is near the Karnataka-Kerala border, just missed a potentially fatal encounter with a wild elephant in a heart-stopping incident that was captured on camera. Parveen Kaswan, an IFS officer, posted the video to X and emphasized how crucial it is to stay inside cars when in areas where wild animals are present.
The viral video, which has since spread like wildfire across social media platforms, shows the terrifying moment when an elephant charges at the two men. As they attempt to flee, one of them stumbles and falls, prompting the massive animal to try and trample him. Miraculously, he sustained no injuries and the elephant eventually retreated back into the wilderness.
“This person was just lucky. But never take this risk when in wildlife area. Don’t come out of vehicle or go close to wild animals. It is said from Kerala,” Kaswan wrote in the advisory post.

This concerning incident serves as a clear reminder of the risks associated with disobeying wildlife safety regulations. His warning sign highlights the person who fell’s extreme good fortune and advises others not to take similar chances.
Discussions regarding the need for increased awareness of and respect for wildlife boundaries have been prompted by the incident. Vehicle stops for the purpose of interacting with or taking pictures of wildlife are still discouraged, but they still happen, endangering both people and animals.
