A fishing boat named “370” sank after colliding with a wooden log in deep sea waters near Kota. The incident occurred while six fishermen were aboard the vessel. Fortunately, they were rescued by the crews of two nearby fishing boats, Siddi and Brindavana, who were actively fishing in the area.
The rescued fishermen—Basava Kharvi, Pramod, Bhaskar, Vaikunta, Shekhar, and Surya—were brought to safety by the boatmen of Siddi and Brindavana. In addition to their heroic rescue efforts, the boatmen successfully towed the damaged fishing boat back to Hangarakatte port.
