Gadag: Youth Stabbed Over Alleged Affair with Sister

In Gadag, a disturbing incident unfolded on October 6, where a young man was allegedly stabbed by the brother of a girl he was dating. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Jaffer Jamadar from Dharwad, was attacked at Dhobi Ghat and sustained serious injuries. After the incident, he was initially taken to the Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) and later transferred to KMC RI Hospital in Hubballi, where he remains in critical condition.

According to the police, Jaffer was reportedly involved in a relationship with Ruhan’s sister, despite warnings from Ruhan to cease the affair. The situation escalated into a confrontation, leading to Ruhan and his associate, Dadapeer, allegedly attempting to murder Jaffer by stabbing him. While Dadapeer has been arrested, authorities are currently searching for Ruhan.

The police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation into the matter.
