Hassan: Bride Walks Away at Last Moment, Cites Love for Another Man
Hassan: A dramatic twist unfolded at the Adichunchanagiri Kalyana Mantap on MG Road this Friday when a bride halted her wedding just seconds before the mangalasutra was to be tied, leaving both families in shock and the guests in disbelief.
The bride, Pallavi from Buvanahalli, had been actively involved in all the pre-wedding rituals. She was engaged to Venugopal G, a government schoolteacher from Eshwarahalli Kudige, residing in Alur village, three months earlier. Their wedding festivities kicked off on Thursday, with the main ceremony scheduled for Friday.
Everything proceeded as planned until the critical moment. As Venugopal moved to tie the sacred thread, Pallavi shook her head in refusal. Her mother and others tried to persuade her, but she remained firm. A visibly emotional groom asked her what was wrong and eventually broke down in front of the gathering.
Confused and stunned guests looked on as the bride rushed to her room. Her parents followed, urging her to reconsider. It was there she confessed she was in love with someone else and had no intention of marrying Venugopal.
Her family contacted the police, and she was escorted to the nearby station. A relative disclosed that Pallavi had received a suspicious phone call during the rituals, after which she locked herself in the room and announced her decision.
With no change of heart, the groom chose to call off the wedding and quietly exited the venue.
