KSRP Constable Killed in Head-On Collision Near Hassan

Hassan: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 39-year-old constable of the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) early Sunday morning. The deceased, Prakash, was killed instantly when a truck rammed into his motorcycle on the outskirts of Hassan city.

Prakash, who served with the 11th KSRP battalion, was a native of Chikkamagaluru and resided with his family at the police quarters in Gadenahalli. He was returning home after a visit to Hassan city when the accident occurred near Kenchatahalli.

According to police sources, Prakash was riding on a one-way route when a truck, coming from the opposite direction in violation of traffic rules, crashed into his two-wheeler head-on. The impact was fatal.

Hassan Traffic Police officers reached the scene shortly after the incident. The truck driver has been detained, and a thorough inspection of the accident site has been conducted as part of the investigation.
