Hassan: Forest officials in Karnataka had a close call when a wild elephant charged at them during an operation in Arehalli village, Belur taluk. The incident occurred while Emergency Task Force (ETF) personnel, Prashant and Sunil, were attempting to drive a lone tusker back into the forest after it wandered into farmland belonging to a local resident, Julbi.
As they were guiding the elephant away, another tusker suddenly appeared and charged at the officers, forcing them to flee. Thankfully, both officials escaped unhurt. Authorities are maintaining heightened vigilance in the area to prevent further incidents.
