Hubballi: Three individuals were killed on the spot, and one suffered serious injuries after the SUV in which they were travelling collided head-on with a private passenger bus near Anchatgeri on the outskirts of Hubballi in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The deceased were from Uppal district in Telangana and were returning to Hyderabad after finishing their work.
The bus was headed towards Mangaluru. Police found liquor bottles in the SUV, suspecting that the driver was in an inebriated condition.
Details of the deceased are not available at the moment. The injured individual has been shifted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital in Hubballi. Rural police have visited the spot, and an investigation is going on.
