Hubbali: State home minister Basavaraj Bommai has clarified that there is no shortage of personnel in the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, October 16, he said, “There is no shortage of ATS personnel or arms and ammunitions in the squad. We will form a strong team comprising experienced officials in the squad and also introduce modern weapons.”

“As we all know, Bengaluru city is becoming a soft target for terrorists and has also become the operational centre for terrorist activities. As the city has expanded, we will be forming ATS teams in set locations,” he added.

He also stated that, as information is being received about terrorist activities in the Hubbali-Dharwad, Belagavi and other districts, the government will be strengthening the ATS teams there as well.
