Hubbali: The Bharatiya Janata Party State President B S Yeddyurappa criticised the former prime minister and Janata Dal (S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda for his “dynasty politics”, here on Friday, April 12.

Addressing a press meet, he opined that the son and father could be in politics, but not in-laws and grandsons.

Reacting to the questions of his son’s MP B Y Raghavendra and Vijayendra too being in active politics, he said, “Unless it is son or father or both of them it is acceptable, but if you also try to involve daughter-in-laws and grandsons then it becomes an issue of family politics.”

He condemned Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for revealing the information about the Income Tax raids in advance and said, “Because CM HDK revealed about the I-T raids well in advance, most of the culprits had already transferred crores of rupees to some other place.”

BSY said that CM HDK should talk responsibly when it comes to the matters of security forces. He said that CM HDK stating that he knew about the Pulwama attack too, well in advance was unconstitutional.

He taunted Public Works Department (PWD) Minister H D Revanna and said, “Holding lemons in hands and making superstitious predictions that the Congress and Janata Dal (S) coalition would win over 22 Lok Sabha seats, will not pay off.”

BSY opined that the “increasing tensions” between the coalition leaders would lead to the collapse of the state government and that the Mandya Lok Sabha independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh would definitely win.

Meanwhile, he refused to comment anything on the BJP Organisation Deputy General Secretary B L Santosh’s statement of the party not issuing tickets based on DNA.
