Hubbali: The BJP leaders, after the by-poll results were announced, have begun mocking former chief minister Siddaramaiah for his negative comments against their party during campaigns prior to the Assembly by-polls.
Most recently, state revenue minister R Ashok has mocked Siddaramaiah saying, “All of Siddaramaiah’s predictions have been proven false. His prediction that the Congress will win in all the 15 Assembly seats has failed miserably. He has become silent after their humiliating defeat.”
“He had said that the BJP indulged in ‘back door politics’ and that the people would teach us a lesson. Now his own political career has been shaken and has almost come to an end,” he added.
Taunting Siddaramaiah further, Ashok said, “It is better that he remains as the Leader of the Opposition. Being in the Congress, he has already divided the party into many pieces and now, if he decides to join any other political party, the fate of that party will be the same. We are thankful to him for his ‘divide and rule’ formula as it helped the BJP very much.”
