Hubbali: MLA from the Bharatiya Janata Party, K S Eshwarappa opined here on Thursday, May 9, that the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition government would not survive for long and that the BJP would come to power after the Lok Sabha election results.

After addressing a rally favouring Kundagol Assembly by-election BJP candidate S I Chikkanna Goudar, he said, “The differences between the coalition leaders are evident and the volcano can burst anytime after the general election results are out on May 23.”

“The situation after the results will be favourable for the BJP to form the government in the state and we will definitely come to power”, he added.

Eshwarappa said, “After the LS results, God alone can help the state coalition as the political scenario will be beyond their imagination.”

Slamming former chief minister and CLP leader Siddaramaiah, he said, “It is evident that some of the Congress leaders in the state coalition are blatantly saying that their leader is Siddaramaiah and that he should become the chief minister. This shows their disrespect to the words of KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G Parameshwar, as they both have repeatedly urged the Congress leaders not to give out such statements.”

“Siddaramaiah is encouraging his supporters to make such statements in his support. He is dreaming of becoming the CM yet again, which will not happen”, he added.

Meanwhile, he also opined that none in the state coalition had accepted H D Kumaraswamy as the chief minister.
