Hubbali: Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) has received a fresh batch of Turkey onions on Saturday, December 14.
After the Hubbali APMC received the batch of Egypt onions, on Saturday it received around one tonne of Turkish onions which are comparatively larger in size when compared to the Egyptian and the Indian ones.
The Turkish onions were rated Rs 8000 per quintal and was sold out within few hours.
According to the reports, around 500 quintal of Pune onions have been bought. However, these onions did not strike a chord with consumers as it costs Rs 10,000 per quintal.
