The investigation into the murder of former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash has taken a dramatic turn after WhatsApp messages allegedly sent by his wife, Pallavi, surfaced — revealing disturbing claims of prolonged abuse, surveillance, and poisoning.
Pallavi, who along with her daughter Kriti has been arrested for Om Prakash’s murder, described herself as a “hostage” living under constant surveillance, claiming her husband had built a vast network to monitor and control her movements.
“I am a hostage. Always in surveillance by Omprakash’s agents wherever I go,” she wrote in a message shared with a group that included journalists.
She accused Om Prakash of repeated poisoning attempts, including adulterated food and water, even via Swiggy and Zomato deliveries, and alleged that domestic workers were bribed to assist in this abuse.
Pallavi also described bizarre incidents, such as being exposed to “burning powder” from a van and being targeted by a man named Mastaan wielding a mysterious “prickling weapon.” She claimed these assaults were part of a deeply rooted power system, alleging that her husband was affiliated with extremist networks.
She pleaded for help from national security adviser Ajit Doval, demanded seizure of her husband’s revolver, and warned, “If anything happens to me or my daughter… Om Prakash will be responsible.”
The explosive messages are now a key part of the ongoing investigation, raising troubling questions about the family’s past and the events that led to the April 20 murder of the high-ranking officer.
