Bangarapet:  An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter, which made an emergency landing in an empty lake at DK village on Sunday evening due to a technical issue, resumed its journey to Chennai’s Tambaram Air Base on Monday evening.

A technical team from Bangalore arrived promptly in another helicopter on Sunday evening to undertake repairs, working through the night to rectify the fault.

Six IAF personnel, including female pilots, and over 10 soldiers were deployed at the site overnight to ensure the helicopter’s safety. Local police provided security assistance.

After 18 hours of repairs, the helicopter was cleared for takeoff on Monday morning. It successfully departed for Tambaram Air Base, marking a successful resolution to the unexpected landing.

No injuries or further incidents were reported.
