Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and JD (S) leader H. D. Kumaraswamy on Friday August 27 said that the Mysuru gang rape case is a joint failure of the BJP Government and Police Department.

Speaking to the media persons here he alleged that the Police Department has always tried to oppress innocent people instead of providing them security. The Government did not put any kind of restrictions on the consumption of intoxicants. Due to this, illegal activities have increased, he asserted.

Commenting on Home Minister Araga Jnanendra statement that the gang rape has taken place in Mysuru and opposition Congress is “raping him”, he said ” Home Ministry is an important portfolio, and he must be careful while commenting on such sensitive matters. I don’t understand in what context he used that word,” he said.

He demanded strict action against the culprits behind the gang rape case.
