Kalaburagi: A tragic case of suspected suicide has surfaced from Huligera village, where a 24-year-old farmer, unable to cope with financial distress, allegedly ended his life on Thursday night.

The deceased, identified as Prakash Ravindra Jamdar, was a resident of Huligera, falling under the jurisdiction of Kalagi Police Station.

Concerns arose when Prakash failed to return home from his farmland by 9 PM. Alarmed, his family began searching for him, only to discover his lifeless body hanging from a tree near his fields along the Hippargi village road.

According to sources, Prakash had borrowed ₹80,000 from Ratkal Bank and an additional ₹5 lakh from private moneylenders. However, with his crops failing, he struggled to repay the mounting debt. The financial strain is believed to have pushed him to take this extreme step.
