The Cyber Economic and Narcotics (CEN) Police Station in Kalaburagi has exposed an inter-state fake marks card scam involving multiple universities across India. Authorities have seized counterfeit educational documents and materials used in their fabrication.

Acting on a tip-off, the police monitored I4U Glam Choice Cloth Shop in Asian Mall and identified Mohammad Khan, a resident of Gousnagar Tarfile, operating under the name Elegance Technologies and Placement Bureau. He allegedly sold fake certificates for 10th, 12th, ITI, diploma, B.E., and B.Tech degrees, with prices ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹50,000 based on the institution’s reputation.

Following an initial probe, Police Commissioner Sharanappa S.D. formed a special team led by ACP Madolappa P.S. to investigate further. During interrogation, Khan admitted to sourcing counterfeit documents from Rajiv Singh Arora, a resident of Dwarka Mor, New Delhi.

A police team traveled to Delhi, arrested Arora, and seized:
🔹 Two laptops, hard drives, pen drives, a printer
🔹 36 mobile phones, 522 fake marks cards from 28 universities
🔹 122 fake seals, 1,626 blank certificates
🔹 87 bank passbooks, cheque books, ATM cards
🔹 ₹1.20 lakh in cash

Both accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
