Five Arrested in Revenge Killing Plot in Kalaburagi

The Chowk police in Kalaburagi have arrested five individuals hired for a revenge killing, recovering three country-made guns and 11 rounds of ammunition in the process. The arrested suspects—Hanamantharaya, Gaibusab, Yeshwant, Gautam, and Shivakumar—were involved in an attack on Sharanabasappa Kande on the night of September 15. However, Kande managed to escape when the gun misfired.
The motive behind the attack stems from an earlier incident where Sharanabasappa was accused of killing Hanamantharaya’s son. Gaibusab and his gang had reportedly accepted a contract of ₹20 lakh to carry out the hit on Sharanabasappa.
