In a startling incident, five police officers in Kalaburagi were suspended after being caught gambling within the Wadi police station premises. The officers involved are Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Mohiuddin Miyan, Head Constables Nagaraj and Saibanna, and Constables Imam and Nagabhushan.
A video that surfaced online depicted these officers engaging in card games during duty hours, with some in uniform, on the first floor of the station. The footage quickly went viral, leading to public outrage and embarrassment for the local law enforcement.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Addur Srinivasulu responded promptly by issuing suspension orders for the five officers. Additionally, a notice was served to Sub-Inspector (SI) Thirumalesh, seeking an explanation regarding the incident.
