A private school in Kalaburagi received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday, triggering immediate police action. Authorities later confirmed it was a false alarm.

Upon being alerted, Kalaburagi City Police Commissioner Dr. Sharanappa S.D., along with Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Praveen H. Nayak and Assistant Commissioner of Police (South Division) Bhootegowda V.S., arrived at the scene. As a safety measure, all students and staff were promptly evacuated.

The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and the Anti-Sabotage Check (ASC) team carried out a meticulous search of the premises. Following a thorough sweep, officials determined that no explosive devices were present.

The case has been officially registered at Ashok Nagar Police Station. Authorities reassured parents and students that there was no real danger and urged the public to remain calm. Investigations are now underway to trace the origin of the email.

Interestingly, while the subject of the email mentioned a bomb, the content was written in Tamil and focused on political matters, with no direct reference to the school. Kalaburagi police have reached out to their Tamil Nadu counterparts to assist in tracking down the sender.

Officials are treating the matter seriously, emphasizing that such threats, even when fake, will not be taken lightly.
