Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Vijayendra insisted on a high-level investigation into the case and called for the removal of Tribal Welfare Minister B Nagendra from the cabinet.

He questioned the moral integrity of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who previously launched attacks on the previous government over corruption issues that allegedly did not exist.

Vijayendra claimed that they came to power by making false allegations of corruption against the BJP government, but in reality, the Congress is the godfather of corruption.

Vijayendra referenced the deceased officer Chandrashekharan’s suicide note, which allegedly mentioned the names of certain officers and highlighted corruption amounting to hundreds of crores. He demanded that the Chief Minister remove the concerned minister from the cabinet and initiate an inquiry supervised by a sitting High Court judge.

Warning of state-wide protests if the Congress government fails to launch a high-level investigation, Vijayendra stated that the BJP would not allow B Nagendra to function as a minister under any circumstances. He also stated that a delegation from the BJP would soon meet the Governor to address the failed law and order system in the state.
