Ballari: Senior JD (S) Leader Nara Pratap Reddy joined the Congress party.
Addressing a press conference at a private hotel in the City on Wednesday May 3, senior party leader Allama Veerabhadrappa, Rajya Sabha member Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain and District President G. S. Mohammed Rafeeq welcomed Prathap Reddy into the party by wearing a party shawl.
Speaking on the occasion, Pratap Reddy said, “The Congress party is among the people. Rahul Gandhi, who was in Balalri recently during the Jodo Yatra, visited the jeans units here and took a serious note of it. Proposed in front of the media in London. When he came to Ballari last week, he said he would make Ballari a jeans capital and spent Rs 5,000 Crore on it. He said he would reserve it. He also said that a software park should be set up in Ballari. In Ballari, more people are living by working on jeans rather than jindal, he said.
