Bidar: An outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea has affected 27 people in Belakera village, Chittaguppa taluk. While some are being treated at a community health center, eight have been shifted to the Bidar government hospital.

Contaminated Drinking Water Suspected: The majority of cases were reported in the village’s new locality, and contaminated drinking water is suspected to be the cause. Water samples have been sent for testing to identify the exact reason.

Immediate Response and Precautions: Health workers are providing first aid and raising awareness among residents to assess the situation. A medical team visited the area, issuing instructions for proper treatment, hygiene maintenance, and ensuring a clean drinking water supply.

MLC Dr. Chandrashekhar Patil and Bhimrao Patil reassured patients at the hospital and directed medical officers for proper treatment. They also emphasized the need for preventive measures, urging people to drink hot water and maintain cleanliness.
