Bidar: Former Taluk Panchayat Standing Committee President Channabasappa Biradar has left the BJP and joined Congress.
Congress candidate Dr. Biradar who spoke after joining the Congress under the leadership of Bhimasenarava Shinde, complained that although Prabhu Chavan was in charge of Animal Husbandry Minister, the cattle of the District did not get medicine for lumpy skin disease. Even when the farmers are suffering due to excess rains and droughts, there is no discussion in the cabinet about the problems of the farmers in the field, he noted.
He alleged that the serious problems of the constituency were not being resolved because the problems of the constituency were not discussed in the session. I have held the responsibility of the party as the General Secretary of BJP District Raita Morcha. Even then Prabhu Chavan did not respond to the problems of the farmers. Many farmers have not yet received relief from the drought, he alleged.
We have submitted a petition to Revenue Minister R. Ashoka, Prabhu Chavan and Deputy Commissioner, he said and alleged that the compensation did not come due to negligence of Chavan.
Congress candidate Dr. Bhimasenarava Shinde said that because of the arrival of Channabasappa Biradar Kautha to the Congress party, the Congress party has gained more strength in this part. Congress party workers and fans assured that they are trying their best to ensure the victory of the party candidate.
