Humanabad: Union Minister Bhagwanth Khuba on Sunday July 2 said that the Congress party, which was in power for a long time in the name of the poor and backward class, did not come forward for their development. He was speaking at a programme held at Gadavanti village.
“In the nine years of Narendra Modi’s tenure, nearly 80 per cent of the people of the country have benefited from various schemes. The Lok Sabha elections will be held in a few days. A government led by Narendra Modi should come into existence once again in the country. I have been elected as an MP twice with the blessings of all of you. Once again, I am confident that you will win by a margin of around 2 lakh votes,” he said.
MLA Dr. Siddalingappa Patil said that as soon as the Congress Government came to power, there was drought all over the State. “To strengthen PM Modi’s hand once again in the coming Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister Bhagwanth Khuba should win by a large number of votes. I will demand that Humanabad Taluk be declared in drought in the session to be held on Monday,” he said.
BJP District President Shivanand Manthalkar, Mandal President Prabhakar Nagarhale, Basavaraj Arya, Somnath Patil, Vishwanath Patil Madagola, Mallikarjun Kumbara and others were present on the occasion.
