Bidar: The illegal sand mining is rampant in various parts of Humnabad Taluk in the District and the Taluk Administration has completely failed to curb it.
Sand vehicles ply daily through the town of Humanabad on the National Highway at various places,. While some vehicles ply with a licence, most tipper vehicles are unlicensed, have expired licences, and use the same license for two vehicles and transport sand more than the prescribed quantity.
It is alleged that the authorities who are supposed to control know everything and it is a matter of suspicion that everyone is succumbing to silence.
