Bidar: Public Development Officer, Gayathri Devi N. Hosamani Nagora in Bidar Taluk was awarded the Bharat Ratna of Bangalore for her rural development service. She was also awarded the Visvesvaraya National Sadbhavana National Award by Visvesvaraya Engineering Foundation Trust.
She was presented with the award at the All India Children’s Literature and Cultural Conference held at Sahitya Bhavan in Koppal.
Gayatri Devi has attracted attention by constructing parks, gardens and organising seminars in schools under the Panchayat limits.
