Bidar: The District Administration on Monday April 3 revoked the Scheduled Caste (SC) Beda Jangama certificate issued to Former City Municipal Council Member Ravindra Kallaiah Swamy.

Ravindra Swamy had given wrong information to the division bench of the High Court in Kalaburagi. After going through the documents, the High Court set aside its March 23, 2018 order.

The high court bench has already imposed a fine of Rs. 1 Lakh on Ravindra Swamy for repeatedly misrepresenting the competent authority and the court.

Orders of various courts, government circulars and statements of Ravindra Swamy have been closely examined. Rituals, culture, traditions, professions, language, worship and recitations, rituals, costumes, modes of cremation, etc., have been examined. Hence, the District Administration has decided that Ravindra Swamy does not belong to the Beda Jangama Community.
