Bidar: Police department, public education department, social welfare department, district child protection unit, child helpline and labour department officials jointly conducted an operation to rescue rag pickers, beggars and child labourers in Bidar town .
Raids were conducted at Basaveshwara, Ambedkar Circle, Bus Stand, Subhash, Shivaji Circle and APMC Market areas and two rag pickers were rescued. These children will be produced before the Child Welfare Committee and the parents will no longer send them to rag picking. Parents have written an undertaking that they will send them to school and later we handed them over to the parents.
Taluk Social Welfare Officer Satish, Child Development Project Officer Srinivas Baluvale, Child Protection Officer Prashanth Biradar, ECO Subhash Hulasure, Physical Education Officer Rohidas Rathod, Dr. Kapil Reddy and Mahadev Bhure were present.
