Bidar: Teachers and children of Yanagund Government High School in the Taluk celebrated Holi in a different way by taking a mud bath.

A soil bath, which is naturally pleasing to the body due to chemical dyes, was held at the premises of Basavaraj Phule, a Naturopath in Yanagunda Village on Tuesday March 7.

The students, led by Santosh and Mustapura, came to the farm, rubbed the mud on their bodies and took a bath with joy.

Two days ago, the mud was collected and soaked in water just for mud bath. The children trampled on the soaked soil and softened it.
Then they sat under the sunlight and got it dried from the foot to head. After drying up, they took a bath and enjoyed it.

Physical education Teacher Mallikarjun Tankasale said that the extra-curricular activity along with the textbook study will help inculcate courage, perseverance, self-confidence, harmony, co-existence, and human qualities in the students.

Prominent personalities like Chandrashekhar Patil, Shivakumar, Majage, Amar Muktadar, Physical Education Teacher Prashantkumar Patil, Santoshkumar Mustapure and others were present on the occasion.
