Final year MBBS student dies by suicide in Bidar

Bidar: A final year MBBS student of the government-run Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) died by suicide here.

Deceased has been identified as Vinuth Kamble, 24, a resident of Basava Kalyana in Bidar district. He allegedly hung himself by the ceiling fan of his hostel room.

Even though no reason has been attributed to his suicide, it is stated that depression would have made him end his life.

The Bidar New Town Police rushed to the spot and a case of unnatural death has been registered.

This is the second student suicide reported in the state in two days. On Sunday, March 14, Siddarameshwara, 24 years, a final year MA student of UoM in Mysuru also had died of suicide.
