Kalaburgi: Secretary General of CPI(M) Sitaram Yechury has alleged that the Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS) is preparing to transform India into a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ through the BJP-led Central government’s CAA, NRC and NPR.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, January 22, he said, “In the year 2025, RSS, the parent organization of the BJP, will be celebrating its centenarian year, so it has decided to transform the country into a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. That is the reason behind the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NPR). We will not let this happen and will reach out to the people by creating door-to-door awareness.”
Urging the people not to cooperate by withholding information and documents from the officials who visit the houses for the NRC and National Population Register (NPR), he said, “We have already decided to begin the non-cooperative movement. It will begin on January 23, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and on January 26, we will mark the day as the oath-taking day with the Indian Constitution. On January 30, which is the day when Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated, we will hold a massive protest.”
