Husband axes wife to death in fit of rage at Chincholi

Kalaburagi: In an unfortunate turn of events, a 30-year-old woman was murdered by her husband in their farm at Chennur Village, Chincholi Taluk on Thursday December 2.

The woman was identified as Manjula. Manjula’s husband Sathish used to doubt her fidelity, and they used to quarrel over this time and again. On Thursday afternoon, when Manjula went to provide lunch to Sathish on their field, a quarrel ensued again. In a fit of rage, Sathish asaulted Manjula with an axe, to the impact of which she succumbed in sometime. The couple have two children.

Sathish who fled the scene is currently absconding. The body was found by Manjula’s brother-in-law and father-in-law when they reached the field searching for the couple who did not return home. Though she was taken to hospital she was declared brought dead.

A case has been registered at Chincholi Police Station and the investigation is on. The police is also searching for Sathish.
