Chincholi: Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s jibe that the Congress will not win even 40 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge asked if the PM would hang himself if the Congress wins more than seats than what he predicted.
He was addressing an election rally in Chincholi when he made the comment. Attacking Modi in the singular he asked, “Will he hang in New Delhi’s Vijay Chowk if we perform better?”
“Rajiv Gandhi’s ashes are immersed in the major rivers of the country. But today, Modi is trying to find pests in the ash,” he criticised.
“When the country got its independence, Modi was not even born. But today he criticises the Congress for everything. He is living in the house built by us and asking ‘Tum Koun Ho'” he said.
