Koppal: Karnataka Congress leader C M Ibrahim has yet again taken potshots at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and this time he has targetted the 17 disqualified MLAs as well.
Speaking to the media, here on Saturday, August 3, he mocked the disqualified MLAs of the Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) parties saying, “The jolly ride of the disqualified MLAs is over. They are now like ‘Devdasi’s’. You cannot do much about a characterless woman and the disqualified MLAs are in a similar position.
Mocking at disqualified Congress MLA Dr Sudhakar, Ibrahim said, “Dr Sudhakar is saying that he is hurt by the way the state coalition has handled him. He says he is in deep pain. I want to ask him if he was pregnant and delivered any child.
Lambasting the BJP leaders and accusing them of launching the infamous ‘Operation Lotus’ in the state, he said, “All the 17 disqualified MLAs were born to us and the BJP has taken them away saying that they are their ‘children’. When you are not able to deliver your own child, how can you all be called ‘men’?”
Targetting the 13 disqualified MLAs recently expelled from the Congress party, Ibrahim said, “All the 13 MLAs were taken away by the ‘Bombay seth’ and were locked in a lodge. Now the MLAs are left clueless. They have now become ‘Devdasi’s’. The BJP calls someone else’s children as their own after abducting them.”
Meanwhile, commenting on the BJP’s ban on Tipu Jayanti celebrations, Ibrahim said that the former were the ones who celebrated the occasion and opined that the current ban is due to pressure from their “parent organization”, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
He said that it was okay to be banned as the Muslims did not believe in idol worship and garlanding photos. He said that they will celebrate the day by helping the poor children.
