Kalluragi: A distressing incident occurred at the railway platform’s plotform where a person tragically committed suicide by hanging from a railway coach. This incident took place at the Vadipatti junction in Chitapur taluk of the Kalluragi district. The deceased, Siddappa Doshatti, a 38-year-old resident of Solapur, was reportedly employed in the S&T division of the Vadipatti Railway station.
Siddappa had been mentally disturbed for a few days and had gone missing since October 17. The police had then identified him and informed his family, who had reported his absence. However, yesterday (13th), Siddappa was found to have hanged himself from a railway coach at platform 1. The railway police have documented the incident in the Thane railway police station and are conducting an investigation.
