Vijayanagara: The Department of Kannada and Culture organized the Karnataka Celebration 50 program in historic Hampi to commemorate the state’s 50th anniversary. During the event, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took part in an enthusiastic dance performance with local children, which captivated the audience.
This remarkable dance occurred near Basavanna Mantapa, across from the iconic landmarks of Hampi. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who hails from Siddaramana Hundi village in Mysuru district, actively joined the dance, expressing his enthusiasm and support for the talented young performers. The CM’s spontaneous dance moves resonated with the crowd, and Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) President Bhima Nayka also joined in, showing his appreciation by cheering and whistling as Siddaramaiah danced.
The Department of Kannada and Culture is hosting a year-long celebration called ‘Karnataka Sambhrama-50’ in honor of Kannada Rajyotsava. As part of this, CM Siddaramaiah inaugurated the Karunad Jyoti Rath Yatra in Hampi, a vibrant aspect of the festivities. This joyous event marks Karnataka’s proud 50-year journey as a state, with its citizens coming together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit of Karnataka.
