A Karnataka court has summoned Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to appear before it regarding remarks he made last year about Sanatana Dharma.
The Karnataka representative court has summoned the State Sports Minister, who is also Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son, to appear on March 4 in response to his remarks that caused a major rift by associating Sanatana Dharma with dengue and malaria.
Additionally, prior to last year’s assembly elections in five states, the topic gained a lot of attention.
A private complaint against Junior Stalin had been made by someone going by the name Paramesh.
Mr. Stalin, 46, had defended his statement and declared he would deal with the matter legally.
“What I had said was perfectly acceptable. We’ll take the issue to court. I’m not going to back down. All I have discussed is my ideology,” he said to reporters in the previous year.
