
Karnataka Lokayukta raids houses of 8 officials in DA probe
The Karnataka Lokayukta is conducting searches at the residences of eight government officials across the state over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets. The raids, which began on Thursday, target officials suspected of accumulating wealth beyond their known sources of income.
The operation spans multiple locations, including Bengaluru, Kolar, Kalaburagi, Davangere, Tumakuru, Bagalkot, and Vijayapura. Among those under investigation in Bengaluru are T D Nanjundappa, Chief Engineer (Group A) at the DPAR – MS Building, and H B Kaleshappa, Executive Engineer (Grade-1) in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, BBMP.
Other officials under scrutiny include G Nagraj (BESCOM, Kolar), Jaganath (State Highway Development Project, Kalaburagi), G S Nagaraju (Health Department, Davangere), Dr P Jagdish (Tavarekere PHC, Tumakuru), Malappa Sabanna Durgada (Panchayat Raj Engineering, Bagalkot), and Shivananda Shiva Shankar Kembhavi (Housing Board, Vijayapura).
Authorities have yet to reveal specific findings from the raids, and further updates are awaited as investigations progress.
