Honking in traffic jams can be incredibly frustrating, as it often adds to stress, disrupts peace, and doesn’t alleviate the congestion. To address this nuisance, the Karnataka Traffic Police have come up with a creative solution. A viral video has surfaced showing officers making drivers experience the noise they contribute to. The video captures the police compelling honking drivers to listen to the sound of their vehicle horns from close proximity, resulting in mixed reactions online.

The video has garnered over 1.98 million views, with many users applauding the traffic police for their unconventional approach. One user commented, “What a way to teach a lesson! This is what is really needed here; otherwise, the public doesn’t fall in line.” Another user added, “Very good treatment, I appreciate the Karnataka traffic police. I hope to see the same in Tamil Nadu.”

Other users extended the idea, suggesting that similar actions should be taken for drivers using high beams at night. “We need this treatment for those flashing high beam bright lights during night driving,” one comment read.

However, some users criticized the method, questioning its civility. One user argued, “Not treating people with dignity is a trademark of Indian society,” while another emphasized that sometimes honking is necessary to prevent pedestrian accidents on narrow, congested roads.
