Bold Heist in Kodagu: Thieves Loot 8 Police Quarters in One Night
In a shocking and brazen crime, thieves targeted eight police quarters in a single night in Adri, near Maitri Hall, Madikeri, right under the nose of law enforcement authorities. The police quarters are located just a short distance from the local police station, making the incident even more audacious.
The thefts occurred during the night, and the culprits managed to steal small valuables from the houses, showing no fear despite being in the proximity of a police facility. The affected homes belong to serving police personnel and their families, heightening the seriousness of the breach.
One police family reportedly also suffered injuries due to a fire, although the cause and connection to the thefts remain under investigation.
A dog squad and fingerprint team visited the crime scene to gather forensic evidence, and the police have started examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to track down the culprits.
